皆さん、こんにちは。今日は、生活クラブ事業連合が参加している「ひまわりプロジェクト」についてお話しします！
「ひまわりプロジェクト」とは何か
「ひまわりプロジェクト」は、食用ひまわりを育て、収穫した種を福島へ送るというもの。福島の障がいのある人たちが、これらの種からひまわり油やひまわりせんべいなどの加工品を作り、それを販売することで地域の復興を支援しています。
生活クラブと「ひまわりプロジェクト」
生活クラブは、2014年度から一部地域で「ひまわりプロジェクト」に参加し、昨年からは全体にその活動を広げています。参加した組合員から収穫したひまわりの種を福島へ送るという形で、福島の復興に一役買っています。そして、2023年度には、滋賀が新たに参加し、全体で30単協がこのプロジェクトに参加しています。さらに、シャロームで生産されたひまわり油やひまわりせんべいは、生活クラブでも購入でき、組合員一人ひとりが福島の復興と地域づくりを応援することができます。
また、「ひまわりプロジェクト」にかかる費用は、「災害復興支援カンパ基金」という、東日本大震災から10年間で生活クラブ組合員が作り上げた基金から出ています。震災から10年以上経過しましたが、生活クラブではまだ復興途上にある地域の人々の生活再建、健康や安全を守るために共に歩み続けることを重要視しています。
「ひまわりプロジェクト」を通じて、地域社会が困難を乗り越えて立ち上がり、一緒に新たな未来を創造していく力を皆さんに感じていただければ幸いです。これからも、ひまわりのように力強く、明るく生きる福島の未来を願って情報を発信し続けて参ります。
「ひまわりプロジェクト」の素晴らしい取り組みに感銘を受けました。生活クラブ事業連合が地元コミュニティと協力して福島の復興を支援する姿勢は、真のサステイナビリティへの取り組みの見本と言えます。このような活動を通じて、一つ一つの小さな行動が大きな力となり、地域社会にポジティブな影響を与えていくことを改めて感じました。

This year again, Seikatsu Club is supporting community development in Fukushima through the Sunflower Project!
Hello everyone, today I would like to talk about the ‘Sunflower Project’, an initiative that the Seikatsu Club Co-operative Union is involved in!
What is the ‘Sunflower Project’?
The ‘Sunflower Project’ is an initiative where edible sunflowers are cultivated, and the harvested seeds are sent to Fukushima. Disabled individuals in Fukushima then process these seeds into products such as sunflower oil and sunflower rice crackers. These products are sold, and the proceeds are used to support the revitalization of the region.
Seikatsu Club and the ‘Sunflower Project’
The Seikatsu Club has been participating in the ‘Sunflower Project’ in certain regions since the fiscal year of 2014, and expanded this activity to the entire union last year. The cooperative members who participated have been sending the harvested sunflower seeds to Fukushima, playing a role in its recovery. In the fiscal year of 2023, Shiga newly joined this project, and in total, 30 unions are now participating. Moreover, sunflower oil and sunflower rice crackers produced by Shalom can be purchased through the Seikatsu Club, allowing each member to support Fukushima’s recovery and community-building efforts.
In addition, the costs for the ‘Sunflower Project’ come from the ‘Disaster Reconstruction Support Donation Fund’, a fund created over ten years by the members of the Seikatsu Club since the Great East Japan Earthquake. More than ten years have passed since the earthquake, but at Seikatsu Club, we continue to believe it is important to walk together to rebuild the lives of those in areas still in recovery, and to protect their health and safety.
Through the ‘Sunflower Project’, we hope that you all can feel the power of the local community to overcome adversity and create a new future together. Wishing for a future for Fukushima as robust and bright as sunflowers, we will continue to share information.
